Would live sand live in a salted freshwater setup?

It wouldn't be all the sand, most of that is pfs, I would just put this on top of that (unless of course it won't work.)

Just a thought...

Thanks.

Your sand will die and cause the tank to crash. Let the sand dry and rinse it out if you just like it for the color.

Any sand will become 'live' sand given time.

Depends what type of 'live' sand we are talking about and what a 'salted' freshwater tank is.
If it is a brackish tank, no. The sand will become 'live' during the cycling process though.
If it is a freshwater tank with aquarium salt, they do make 'live' freshwater sand. It is a bit of a waste considering that any sand will grow the BB as part of the cycling process though.
If you are talking about saltwater live sand, no. It requires a specific salinity range (saltwater) and will die off otherwise.
