Just a quick question...
I've been keeping aquariums for years and kept swordtails, platys and mollys in the past(althought its been a while), but I know that they've always done well, but the water was very hard and alkaline. I read in the fish profiles on this site and it said that they prefer hard, alkaline water...how will they do in soft/moderate, acid water? I have a densely planted 20g that I'm thinking about adding some swords to (wife likes the idea of fish babies) --- with Co2 injection, the pH stays around 6.6-6.8 and the hardness fluctuates, but stays around 6-9 dkH and the same for the GH. Any feedback? Thank you kindly.

note: I know that most of the time, fish prefer *stable* water conditions, as opposed to *exact*. Also, I figure that since swords and platys(not sure about mollies) are from Central and South America, their natural environment certainly is exposed to acid, soft water at least in some places.
