Livingstone Cichlid "the sleeper" nimbochromis livingstonii

If I remember correctly Livingstonii's get bout 10" which a single solo fish would do fine in a 55gal now if im mistaken and it really gets like a foot then yeah it would need a 75gal just to give him more room to turn around. These are very interesting fish ive wanted one but never have had the space for one. My mom use to own a Venestus which are very similiar and it was a very nice fish didnt live long do to poor maintainance on my parents part.

I have on that slipped into an order of arturus in my 54G (eek!) so far, it is the most docile fish in the tank. I found out last night I have at least one .5" fry swimming around and after reading more about the livingstonii...Im thinking i need to separate the one thats left and the livi...

2 should be fine in a 55gal i believe they will probably reach the 9 to 10" portion would be sweet if you obtain a pair.. if not grab about 6 of them let them pair off and remove the extras..

id feel terrible with such a big fish in a tank barely big enough for him to turn around in. thatd be like locking you in a closet where you barely had enough room to turn around.
