Loaches and snails

Can an apple snail as big as half of the loach size be eaten by the same loach?

I Have 2 Full size Yoyo's (infamous snail eater) that did not bother my 2 ramshorn snails or my apple snail. They never even looked twice at the snails... though my snails died of old age (1 year old)

one more thing,i can't get my apple snails to breed,i put 3 in one tank and nothing happen for few weeks.

Probably a stupid question, but...what do snails do? Are they also algae eaters?

They lay their eggs ABOVE water, so you have to leave enough space for them. Also, you may have all females.. no males?
