LOL (ghost shrimp)

I was just holding a block of tubifex worms under water for my ADF (who happened to take 3 good bites out of it) when my biggest ghost shrimp came over and started picking at it right out of my hand
Other shrimp came over, and then the big one decided that he was the only shrimp that could have any and he wrapped all of his little arms and antenna around it and scurried off LMAO it was so funny seeing those little legs movin and him carrying that huge block of worms oh man hahahhaaa

YEah shrimp are great during feeding time. My amano shrimp run upside down under the water eating all the flakes. OR if i add sinking pellets they run up grab them then run off to a cave. I"m always surprise that a tiny shrimp can carry a full size algae waffer

we have a ghost shrimp at our store, no joke its about 5 inches long! its crazy!!! pregneut too!

It's not a ghost shrimp then, they only get 2".
Could be a FW prawn, I'm not sure on inverts but it's not a ghost shrimp.

ghost shrimp don't have big claws and they aren't blue

Sounds like you have what is sometimes labeled as freshwater blue lobster which are actually crayfish.

my amanos are great fun at feeding time, not only are they hand tame, but (and i say to any amano owner to try this, it's great fun) they give a great pedicure to.
just let them climb onto your hands, and they'll get rid of all the dead skin and nasty bits, just make sure you don't have any open cuts, 'cause that just hurts:shake:
