London Bombings

I hadn't heard until I turned the TV on this am. What a horrible thing. ANy news as to who it could have been?
Several possibilities come to mind.
 
A group calling itself “The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe” posted a claim of responsibility for Thursday’s blasts in London, saying they were in retaliation for Britain’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.
 
This horror was claimed as an act done in retaliation for involvment in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I can't help but wonder if it had any connection to being picked for the Olympics? :huh: My heart goes out to all the victims and families.
 
I should've remembered that, ash. I guess I just can't think like a terrorist(yay!). I just don't understand using actions like that. It just seems stupid to get most of society angry at you when you are trying to change the world. Why not work the system, or change it. But, like I said, I don't understand that line of reasoning, thank goodness.
 
that is definitely a good thing. I can't understand it either- we're lucky in that way. These people come from places where the governments are so horrid that working to change the system seems- and probably is- impossible. But that doesn't justify these measures- harming people with families who are just trying to go to work. It's horrible all around.

I'm still waiting on news on my grandfather as he was due to catch a train into london for an operation at the royal london hospital and so far none of us have been able to reach him, fingers crossed that he is okay, its sux being all the way on the other side of the world and not being able to find out if all is well.
