last night one of my two silver dollars passed away. tank stats are fine (ph/am/nitrate/nitrite/temp) and all the other fish in the tank are fine, so I'm guessing it was old age (estimated at 22 years old, minimum).
The two silver dollars in the tank were never more than an inch or two apart, and the surviving one seems... depressed... best way to put it. He's still eating and stuff, but not being active as he once was.
Is this him being sad cause his partner is gone? or just shyness from being a schooling fish with no one to school with? I haven't seen any silver dollars the size I need for sale around here? Do people recommend I find another silver dollar or will he reject it since he was used to his old partner? I just feel bad for the guy, I'm looking at him and I swear that he's sad.
