Ya, it's me again...

My platies always seem to have this long, white poop hanging from them. I wasn't too worried about it thinking this was normal. However, I've been reading some threads and now think that this may not be the case.

Can someone tell me if I should be worried and what I should do about it?

Man, I thought keeping fish was going to be relaxing. This is stressful.. :(

Offer them some peas, squished from the shell. It may just be constipation, and the peas will do the trick. As long as other symptoms--ie, not eating, lethargy, flashing, no growth in juveniles--are not present, may not be a problem, just a reflection of diet.

Thanks, I'll try that. They seem fine but what do I know. I've been keeping fish for a whole 6 days :o

By the way, how do you feed the peas - do you just drop them in or stick them to the side of the tank (or both)

You must have smart fish. Mine wouldn't know food if it hit them on the head.

I've got 2 peas and an algea wafer just hanging around the bottom and not one fish going for it...sheesh
