Now Now, i am looking for a particular fish but i have no idea of the name of it. It is a long black fish that looks like a minature shark. it has a long tail that swoops upward, but thats about all. it "looks" like a shark but all of the fish i have looked for look nothing like it, eg bala shark, ruby shark etc. if anyone has an idea of what this fish is called it would be a grand help.
many thanks,

could possibly be a in the catfish family???? any help would be good.

Obviously that's pretty vague, but you might try http://www.planetcatfish.com/

The first things that came to mind from your description were irredescent sharks and black adonis pleco's. Neither of these fish is a good choice for a tank less than 300g give or take a 100gallons, but both are widely sold at aquarium shops. Despite the fact that they get way too big for most hobbyist to house properly.
