Looking for an All-In-One unit for my office

Don't buy a fluval aquarium, waste the money for a useless glass box.
Is not said that a small fish can be kept in a small tank, generally small fish should be kept in large groups in large tank.

can you be a little more helpful? Why are you against the fluval?

I think it's more a comment against having fish in such a small tank. He's got a valid point, but it's not always valid because its validity depends on how you're planning on stocking. A neon tetra? Bad idea. A betta? Not so much with the bad. A school of 6-8 neon tetras? I'm not sure how much usable space there is on one of those (I haven't actually seen one set up, and I need to be able to see it to be able to guess at it) to be able to say if it's a good or bad idea.

Is small and expensive tank, with equal money you can buy a better and lager tank.
The light is good only in the center the corners are dark.
Maintenance is difficult.
6 gallon is few to betta, and you can not fill it completely, but you have to let half an inch to breath the betta.
Neon tetra are very active fish, requires 25 gallon long tank.
6 gallon good shrimp only, sorry :)

I think the tank size is an issue because it is going to be a desk tank. Granted, a 10 gallon doesn't tank up a whole lot of space either.

I do agree though that I wouldn't put anything but inverts in a tank that size. Just my opinion.

The Evolve 8s up at petsmart are pretty nice. Its a knock off of the fluval tanks. I would have no issue putting a coouple ottos and a betta in one. Or possibly a dwarf guarami.

Although I really want one for an electric blue or white lobster and some plants. They have a pretty good footprint.

If petco is still selling the bookshelf aquarium it was an awesome option. It has a really good footprint not tall at all but lots of swimming space. Tolerable lighting and a redsea clear HOB filter that did a decent job filtering it.

Also Biorb has an 8 gallon glowfish tank that would be fine for a few of the glowing danios.
