Looking for interesting 10 gallon setups

Just a warning to you, DO NOT put a male and a female betta together!!! You will not like the results :shark:

my 10 g is overstocked but they all seem to be happy and things are clean... so it's all good.

Mine's more of a mixed community, have me a frog, shrimp, betta, neons and some redeye tetras. Sand substrate. Lots of nice looking fake plants, although im sure you're opting for the real thing. In this tank, there's always somebody hustling and bustling so its never boring to watch.

LOVE my 10 g im sure a thouseand of you have had to endur me taling about my "von rio flames" but i love them , personality to spare only get 1.5 inches they school with only 6 and they are relativly hardy

ohhhhhh and they are pretty

and i love corys to . if you liek the look of a pitcus in my opinion a peppered cory looks like a small pictus minus the wiskers

i feel you there my 10 is sligtly overstocked if you go by the 1" per gallon myth
but like you everything is healthy and happy in all of my tanks i really think theres too many variables in aquaria to have a static rule but it makes a good foundation for noobs so i wont completly knock it.

I think Statis was looking for some pictures......here's a few that I have/had....These are thumbnails...click on the pics for a larger view.....

A 10 gallon divided betta setup....(has 4 betta in it)......not a whole lot of thought put into the decor on this one, but doesn't look too bad....I think....

A 10 gallon shelldweller tank...(multifasciatus)......

A 10 gallon viverium setup for dart frog......

This is a 15 gallon all fake tank....could be done as a 10......(3-HBpastel guppies, 2-panda cories, 1-black kuhlii loach, 1-blue ram)....

I've got 3 10 gal tanks - mine, my daughter, and at work. All have a few plants - couple of java fern, some horn wort, some anarchis (using 2 cf replacements for the incandescents the tank came with, 2 wpg), my daughter and work both have a single male betta wtih a few platys, 3 peppered corys and a few ghost shrimp, my tank has 5 male fancy guppies, 4 neon tetras, and a queen botia for cleanup and snail duty.

10 gallon lovers

I'm slowly gathering equipment for a larger tank but for now it's just a ten gallon. I have several of these three plants in there: bacopa monnieri, alternanthera reineckii, lobelia cardinalis, and a nice piece of bogwood. The gravel is the common one sold by Wal-mart. The fish are three black skirt tetra and four zebra danio. I have made a coconut cave but have not added it since there's nothing in there right now that needs a cave. The filter is a Fluval plus 2. I would like to add a bottom dweller who likes caves and algae.

Do I dare add another fish or two?

i kinda regret my guppies. yeah they have color but they dont do a whole lot of anything they just float and make babies so i put in some serpae tetras to contol the population so far weve stayed at 4

i have 2 10g tanks and a 5 g tank to mess with i think ima going to clean up the 5g and if i find any noob interested in fish have him/her buy a heater and a filter and walk him thu a cycle then give em the guppies to start em off.

i only recomend guppies to a complete noob
