My male clownfish had been struggling for the last 2months w/ some kind of unknown internal problem. he stopped eating but after a treatment with metronidazole he started to accept small amounts of food, but not nearly enough. so last night i was ckecking the tank, only to find him dead in my diy overflow. The female is perfectly fine and healthy as ever.

water params:
Ammonia-0ppm
Nitrite-0ppm
Nitrate-15ppm
pH-8.3

i've had the clowns for a little over a yer. can i possibly add another clown? or other another small fish?

would it be possible to get another clown to replace it? or will the female fight over territory?

Sorry to hear...my female clown is on her way out right now...her husband is going to miss her I know...hopefully the death toll ends there...I have lost 6 fish already since the move and am now down to 4...my mated oscellaris pair, green wrasse and blue spot puffer.
