What is good to lower them temp in a tank when the source of the heat is the water pump installed into the sump.
Normally, my water temp would stay at around 75ºF (room temp). When I installed the new filtering system with this new pump it raised in about 6 hours to 77º. At that time, it was uncovered. When I finished my hood and installed it, temp raised at around 80ºF, and have kept there. I drilled aroun 60 1" holes in the hood to allow for some heat escape, but didn't work. I'm thinking about installing computer fans into the hood to force air circulation.
80º can be fine with the fish I keep there, but I'd surely like to cool it down a bit. Any better idea?
