lrg fish

Welcome to AquariaCentral first off. I hope you learn a lot from all of the kind people on these forums.

The thing is though, an 8-10" fish should not be kept in a 20g. Not even by itself.

Fish should always be given the largest tank possible, and they will in turn, provide you with more enjoyment.

Do you already have a 20g aquarium? If so, there are plenty of interesting setups you can have in a 20g, such as dwarf cichlids, or maybe a small community tank.

No, there is not. A fish that size in a tank that small would suffer from inactivity, poor water quality (less water means the water gets polluted faster) and stunted size and internal organs. A fish that size would need a tank three or more times bigger than a 20g.

That said, there are many, many fish that would fit in that tank together that would be fun to watch and healthy and happy.

Well, how about something, say, 6"? could that be happy in there? then maybe you could add about 3 to 5 dwarf corys and a couple of least killifish, (all pretty teeny fish) and mess with the 'landscape' to make it LOOK huge.... :idea2:
