Been on my list of things to do were simple canopies for my 55g and 40g. My 55g has 2 dual 24'' fixtures and the light was blocked by pieces of cardboard, lol... the 40g is in a closet and had a light hanging from the ceiling on a chain...

after, kinda hard to see, but u get the idea:

the 40 I use as a growout for my fry when they get around an inch. The bottom left is for young fry and the right is a hospital/q tank. All housed in a closet that was never used before...

Thanks, they were pretty cheap and easy to build. Very functional and adds a lot considering i had cardboard covering the light, lol...

The aquascaping in my 55g is my preference, where as the 40g is mostly for ease. The rock on the right side is huge texas holey rock and it has plenty of holes for all sizes. the rest of also holey rock and its easy to take out of the tank quickly for me to catch juvies that need to go to the lfs. I keep the fry tank and hospital tanks basically empty, but I did paint the bottom and backs black on both... I may end up rescaping it in 2 weeks when I have to catch my holding demasoni. Its a pain in the butt to catch anything. I may make it more like my 55g on the bottom underneath it... I used granite rocks from my local landscaping place... I like the look. couldnt get a good shot with my cell camera though...
