They work good if you get a quality one...don't go cheap in this case because the cheaper ones don't work as well.

The magnet will be weaker and become detached, and the scratchy part is not as good and won't rub off as much.

Yeah be careful around the substrate. I scratched my glass a little when I picked up some little gravel.

I have a bowfront too and don't have any problems on the curved part, just use a smaller magnet if you do.

concur. and not all of them float anyway, some come with strings that youre supposed to tie to each side of it.

going cheap is always a choice, but in this case ease of use and utility far outweighs the price difference.

I have a magna float, its Ok for in between thorough hand cleaning, but don't imagine that it's gonna do all the work for you - its not THAT good!

I just use a good old sponge cleaner on a stick. why use anything else when these things work perfectly fine for 2 bucks?
