i need some help on what to feed my baby platies that were born at 5 am this morning. im a proud father of 13! yay lol. I wanted to know if i can feed them very finely crushed flakes and bloodworms or do i have to feed them fry formula at this time and where they sell that stuff. And also how many times i should feed them

they will live and even thrive on crushed flakes - or at least guppy fry do so I don't see it would be any different. Same with the bloodworm. You can get the fry food as well, but up to you. A few feedings per day is recomended usually, but we often only get arround to it about 2 or 3 times...

I read...

I don't know if this goes for all fish but I read in a book on goldfish that it is good to feed the fry the yolk (and only the yolk) of a hard boiled egg. I tried it and they loved it. Even the adults love it. Their scales and fins are very shiney and colorful. When I got the adults I didn't know about the egg yolks so I raised them on crushed flakes. They are healthy but not as vibrant looking as the fish I raised on the yolks. I give them all some egg yolk every now and then as a treat.
What I did was take pieces of the egg yolk and crush it up and put it in the tank. Be sure not to overfeed and you can eat the rest yourself. Clean whatever is uneaten out of the tank.

ya but i dont feel ease at mind putting eggy yolk in my aquarium even if its cooked. Just a lil bit can do some major damage to a aquarium of my size. 90 gallon bowfront

What kind of damage?

What kind of damage? My tank is a 75 gallon with two 330 biowheel filters. If I clean up the uneaten yolk what damage may occur?

I've raised fry on crushed flakes, and others on powdered fry food. I found the fry food fouled the water much more, and feeding flakes has an added bonus - you can crush up different kinds of flakes, as well as freeze-dried brine shrimp, tubifex, bloodworms etc. This way, the fry can have a lot of variety.
I've read in books that dried/well-cooked egg yolk can be used for fry, but it can really foul the water if you overfeed. Never tried it myself; crushing up flakes is easier than boiling eggs, cooling them, peeling them and getting my husband to eat the 99% of the egg that's left after the fry eat ;)
