I am connecting a boggy area to my pond, some parrots feather, lilies and water iris with free roots will be in it.
I think it will make a lovely spawning area.
Not what I had planned originally, with mud and bog plants NEXT to my pond, but hey, my fish love it.
Everything is a terrible mess out there, the pond is all stirred up (it has a natural bottom), and there is stuff out of place everywhere, but I will try to gets some before pictures.
The boggy area is about 7" deep by 4' out from my pond, and 8' long or so.
My bullfrog has claimed it as HIS.
I think the tadpoles this year will love it.

It still needs to be sealed before I can fill the pond all the way up again, but I'm sure it'll look nice once it is done.

We are also doing a large butterfly and other wildlife-attracting garden at least 10' out from the pond, 20' in some places.

It is sooooo ugly out there right now. Ah well, I know it'll look good when I'm done... The fish are so curious about the goings-on.

The dry dirty area is to be the 'boggy' place.
