i'm planning to medicate my tank with malachitegreen for ich.. my new angels seem to have ich, problem is i have anubias and java moss in my tank.. should i removethe pkants 1st?
or can they take the malachite green?

ich

angels are supposed to be very resistant to ich, more likely you have some kind of fungus on them, in which case you should up your temp, put in some stress coat and increase the water quality with changes and filtration. I had this problem when I dropped the temp from 80 to 76 in one day.

I have used a single 1/2 dose of malachite green without anything bad happening to the plants. (hornwort kinda suffered I think) The whole ich regimen might do them in though. Might be better off to remove the fish to a bare bottom hospital tank for a few weeks if it really is ich.

Re: ich

thanks!
will increase the temp of the tank..
all of them seem to be affected now.. their fins are clamped:(
i think the new ones were stress when i git them , since they have been in theplastic bag for a long time..
and they are just the size of fingernals.. /
i also have bristlenose in the tank..
its easdy to treat if the tank was bare, but i'm worried about the anubias plants:)
will try salt and increased temp 1st... if they don't get better after a day, will add some malachite green in:)
