Mama guppy

My snakeskin guppy started giving birth today. I came home with a "breeder's box" just in time. I found one baby & was able to get him & mama into the box. That was about 4PM. & that's the only baby.

How long does the birthing usually take? She's obviously still very much pregnant.

Moscow Blue mama is due very soon also.

i've been told 4-6 hrs is normal. one of mine does that but the other two take 2 days to finish

Thanks. I looked it up in the "library," but it didn't say how long.

Now I feel like I should start pacing.

Here's the thing with my guppies. They like to have some 'privacy' when having babies. Go pace somewhere away from the tank and she'll get the job done.

One more but from the other female in the tank - Moscow Blue. Saw him stuck between the net & front wall of the tank. Tried to save him but my betta beat me. (I yelled at him!) I did manage to finally catch her & into the net, too. They started to fight but have calmed down.

Now I won't know who the babies are from. The first little guy is still swimming around in there & getting BIG!!
