Marmorkrebs are very interesting for a few reasons, one of which being that nobody actually knows where they came from, they simply showed up in a german aquarium shop.

More importantly however, they are all female and do not need a male to reproduce, this (combined with the fact that they are very peaceful to each other as well as to fish) makes it very easy to establish a colony of them.

They make excellent feeders for this reason, but are also very fun to watch in their own right, as they aren't as shy about coming out with the lights on as many crafish are.

Full adult size is generally around four to five inches, but six and three inch adults do show up from time to time. If you keep a lot of them in a small area they won't grow as large, generally 2-3 inches.

One thing to remember is that because they do not require a second crayfish to reproduce they can be extremely invasive if introduced to the wild, please be a responsible aquarium keeper and do not release or flush them.

Shipping will be via USPS Priority mail unless the buyer wishes to pay for Express shipping. All prices include USPS priority shipping.

These are mature adults, they will begin to reproduce within a month or two of arrival.

Single crayfish: $10 shipped.
Two crayfish: $20 shipped.
3-4 crayfish: $25 shipped.
5-6 crayfish: $50 shipped.
7-8 crayfish: $60 shipped.

I usually have at least one berried crayfish at all times, often two or three. The prices for berried crayfish are as follows:
One berried crayfish: $25 shipped.
Two berried crayfish: $35 shipped.
Three berried crayfish: $40 shipped.

I have had excellent results shipping via USPS priority, however if crayfish die in transport i will replace them for the cost of shipping.
I do NOT guarantee berried crayfish's eggs. So far the berried crayfish i have shipped have arrived healthy and viable.

The pictures below are of my crayfish, but not necessarily the ones you will be receiving.

Replied.

To answer 'em publicly:

They do eat plants. The better fed they are the fewer plants they eat, but they still like to munch 'em.
They are the least aggressive clawed animals i've ever seen, including dwarf crays. The only aggressive behavior i've seen was when an ameca tried to eat an antenna, and even then it was posturing rather then an attack (the ameca left, fast).
The newly hatched crayfish are small, maybe 3mm tops, and will be eaten by anything that eats such things. They hide well though, and grow decently quickly.

I do not recommend them for a planted tank that you want to keep as a planted tank.
