Welcome to AC!

Welcome to the forum! I'd make a topic in the freshwater forum to ask so more people will see it but my initial answer would be no. They're aggressive and carnivorous which means if a Molly can fit in its mouth it will eat it. I'm not experienced with them though so you may get better answers from some more experienced members

both brackish ( atleast i think the cteonpoma can be bracksih? ) and mollys can become brackish to. but if there not, try them in fresh water. both should get alone. mollys average about 3 to 4 inches, and cteonpoma, 6 inches, so not much different there. ( besides the size )

I found all my info on the internet. You will probably need to google it. The leopard is not brackish. They get to be around 6 inches, but not a very active fish. Mostly hangs around and waits for food! Extremely predatory. Very beautiful! Very slow growing. Very interesting to watch. I loved my guy! Even at about 2.5 inches or so....he ate his way through 6 full grown glolite tetras.

Thanks guys it seems like leopard Ctenopoma is one of those fish that has lots of different opinions about it like Pictus cats and oscars. They would kill my plates for sure though right? Would a 56 gallon be big enough for 1

Yes a 56 gallon would be big enough for one. They will eat anything that will fit in their mouth.
