No. The idea is to keep him away from the track so he can just be a dog.
One thing about Greyhounds is they love to run. You can even say they live to run and he will have the opportunity to do so anytime in our fenced in yard. One of the most impressive sites I've seen is a Greyhound at full stride.
Since I was talking about Tiger Shark, here's a pic. It's a lousy shot, but you can get an idea of how big he was next to my bike. He broke his leg on a track in Florida and was smuggled out on a truck to spare his life. Back in those days if the dog couldn't race the breeders or owners would just "discard" them. Now I understand the whole industry wasn't heartless, but most of them were.
