Bah, just get a 35+ gallon tank next time and you're set. As long as there aren't oodles of other fish in there, a jack will live comfortably for YEARS in a 35 gallon tank. Ask me how I know. ;)

Actually, if you get a little convict for a buddy, they're like a perfect macth in temperment and all, too.

If its a male,he can get up to ten inches, and very aggressive, and your shrimp might disappear one day.I put a Crayfish I though was to big for mine to eat ,he proved me wrong.:)

It's shaped like a FM, but it definitely has JD markings.

If you're going to get him a room-mate, do it soon. They get even more aggressive once they have had a tank to themselves for a while. (I kept a single JD in a 20-show for >10 years, yes - it should have been in a bigger tank).

okay then.... Ill probably return it.... but.... I know I'm in a wrong thread but what would be a best cichlid to put in a 10gallon tank>? Rams maybe???? I've seen shellies not really intrested on 'em... I just want 1 fish or a pair, colourful, and cute and Aggressive at the same time.
