Mela/Pimafix question

I left the heat the same and it worked fine for me. I only used it once for a Molly that had Fungus, but I treated for as I recall 2 weeks (whatever the instructions said, not at home right now) and the fungus cleared up just fine.

I don't think the directions say to increase the heat, but out of curiousity, what are you treating for?

I bought 4 Dwarf Sunburst Platy's 4 days ago. 2 of them had some fin damage, so I started Melafix in my QT on all of them. This morning they all have cotton patches and clamped fins, and are pooping long, clear stringy yuckiness, and shimmying in place. LFS said the Pimafix would work well in combo with Melafix in getting rid of internal and external parasites, bacteria, and repairing the chewed fins.

Lots of water changes will help too, and I can't imagine that turning up the heat a bit would hurt any, it might speed things up. Maybe you could turn it up gradually and let it be for a day or two and see how the fish seem to be taking it and if there is any improvement! Good luck

Do any of you know if this combo actually will work on internal parasites? Or should I try something else? I don't want to be adding all this stuff to my water if it will not work on anything but the skin fungus.

Thanks
