Metal Halide Bulb Replacement Question

Hey everyone:
I am looking to replace my 6500K 250 watt metal halide bulb with something a little less green. I was thinkinig about a 10,000K german bulb or a 12,000K sunburst. I dont remember exactly where i heard it, but i remember someone saying that the 12,000K bulbs arent very good. Anyone have any input?

subsburst bulbs look nice, but corals do not grow well under them.

The one I am currently using is about 8 months old. It still works just fine, i just never really like the 6500K bulb's color over my tank. Im just trying to upgrade the bulb for asthetics.

sunburst are gorgeous, but i've had terrible reliability. I would recomend the germans, I finally swiched to Hamiltons after going around and around with sending back defective sunbursts.

6,500k Are the best for corals, as they simulate Natural sunlight hte best, now most will Subliment with actinics to take the Yellowish green color away..

if you are looking for just looks.. then go with a 10k Bulb.. if you want the best for your corals, keep the 6,500k bulb and add in either PC actinic or a VHO..

I have a 20 watt NO actinic right now...trying to make things a little more blue. It definetly helps. If the 6500K is the best for corals...can i drown out the yellow with a different type of actinic...maybe something with a little more power?
