Which type of lighting is best for reefs between HQI and screw in bulbs.

i personally like the screw in metal halides.

an HQI of similar quality will deliver more PAR than a mogul socket style. But they are also on slightly more watts, even though they claim to be the same (like a 250 watt ballast of each). however, dont be fooled. a good mogul ballast and bulb on a good reflector can be a heck of a lot better than some HQIs.
