Metronidazole for deseased fish plz advise... thanks

I was just wondering, which of these two froms is more effective, Metronizdazole tablets , and this form of the drug? Can I crush the Fish Zone tablets and use them for internal use (fish food medication?) , ... reason being, my LFS has fish zone, but not the other type which I have to order online... thanks

Do you mean "fish-zole"? The problem with treating fresh water fish is, very little meds will make it into their system to treat internal problems. Some products are better then others, and will get into the fish, but Metro is not one of them. Overall if you want to see any benefit from the Metro, you have to mix it into food. Not sure about the Seachem product. Perhaps they have found a way for it to be better absorbed...
