Missing Cae!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to look on my fish and one of my caes was missing. usaully it pops out because of it's size. Nothing was big enough to eat it. I checed everywhere like 10 times. Any ideas at all.

could it be in your filter? i've heard of several fish doing this, but mostly elongated loaches.

did it jump out or under the light, on top of the canopy?

that was sooo weird. I think it was in the filter. I took out the cartages and went away for a sec and there he was back in the aquarium. I don't know what happened.

yeah, algae eaters and many bottom feeders are sneaky

I have two SAE in my 29 gal community tank, and at times, no matter how long I search, can only see one.

Then out of the blue, both will be there hanging on the glass or sucking on a plant for the algea.

The fake driftwood thing I got has a lot of holes in it (it's hollow to a certain extent); have noticed the SAE's in one of the holes looking out at the world. Methinks your CAE was playing hide n go seek on you!
