Mixed African tank

Have anyone tried to mix african cichlids with gourmi's and convicts

Really you shouldn't due to the other fish with specific dietary needs and such, as well as the water requirements being different and not to mention convicts being extremely nasty aggressive when breeding, If you must mix maybe try Malawi and Tanganyika species both are Rift Lake Cichlids..

I totally agree with Pitt....that would be a recipe for disaster. I personally dont like even mixing malawia and tangs but it can be done...carefully.

Very carefully hehehe the only mixes i do is Predator Tanganyika with Predator Malawi Haps they tend to stay around the same size and aggression levels, for example i have right now and soon to have together..

Tanganyika Nkambe, Lemarii, Tetracanthus and Malawi Exocochormis Argeny and Nimbochormis Fusco big torpedo shaped cichlids..

I dont have my 75 g any more had to sell it for bill$ but I have 9 africans in my 29 gallon and hopefully i will find a good cheap big tank in my area soon, real soon. If you have any opinions or ideas all is welcomed

Which species? I can only think of a hand full of africans (pretty much just shellies) that would allow for that little space per fish.

I really think you should be looking for a tank upgrade instead of adding more fish. That tank is way too small for the africans you are keeping. Good luck finding a new tank.
