Moderators, Please boot me from aquariacentral discussions :( I have asked questions on this and I am sick of people being rude. I completely respect peoples opinions and advice, although I don't respect those who come back with rude comments. I have recently joined in on this hobby and so far I love it. I also take it very seriously. I would do nothing to screw up my tank or my fish. I have come to aquariacentral from the reccomendation of a neighbor but mostly so that I could get some educated opinions, advice, and hobbyist expertise. Most people have come back with some really helpful information. Some will not give reccomendations until I "fix" a certain situation. Some topics are sketchy and deserve to be left alone. I honestly wish to be booted because I have come here for help and find myself getting more frustrated then excited about my new hobby. I am choosing to do my own research so that I can gain my own educated opinion. Thank you for booting me!! ;) and thank you to all who have helped me. Good luck to everyone and I hope that all goes well.

nobody was attacking you. I asked you where you got your information.

TriggerPuff - I honestly don't see that anyone has been rude to you. Actually, it appears that everyone here has done their best to help you, and that includes the suggestion of returning your tangs. Just because you may not want to hear that, doesn't mean it's rude. Your tank is severely overstocked and is almost certainly destined to have big problems if you keep all those fish. We're just trying to save you a lot of heartache.

If you have decided not to participate on this board anymore, there is no need to be 'booted' - you can just not login anymore.

Lastly, I hope you re-think all this and change your mind. This is a great resource with a bunch of nice helpful people around. Sometimes people will tell you things you don't want to hear or don't agree with. But, keep in mind, we're only trying to help you!

What happened?

Anyone got a link for the thread(s) where this all comes from. I'd like to help out if I can.

Thanks
Ken

I think Triggerpuff could have had a problem with this:

Your tank is cartoonishly overstocked.

I may be wrong but I am also willing to go out on a limb to say that you are overstocked.

I've been on here for six months or so getting prepared to build my 125 reef and have had nothing but great, well-intentioned advice. I have recommended this forum to many FW friends and coworkers because of the fact that everyone really wants to help each other out in any way that they can (all my expierence here is in SW forums... I assume the FW members are the same type people).

Don't take constructive questions too negatively... People are just trying to get more info to help you, dude.

BTW, the tank is in the house! Finally!!! Yes, I've taken gcvt's advice to heart -- "Start slow, then taper off." I painted the back black as suggested by Slip (I think). It came out great. Living in Buffalo, the biggest challenge was getting the temperature in my garage above 50 degrees F.

Next on the agenda is a return pump & sump and then the actual plumbing. My Southdown has been sitting in the basement for months...

If all goes to "plan," I'll have my first rock delivered in July (just kidding... I hope).

TriggerPuff, I'm sorry if I came across strong, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm giving you fair, unbiased advice. My money says that someone at your LFS has been telling you that you can keep all of these fish in your tank without problems. Ultimately the choice is yours, but always consider the source of advice...I have nothing to gain or lose based on your decision, but there's a lot of money in selling replacement tangs. Good luck in whatever you decide if you opt not to post anymore.
