because I really have no desire to start any controversy, but I felt strongly compelled to point this out. In another (now locked) thread was an item about Pat Robertson...and while I will not take any side here about god(s), religion, poiltics, aliens , etc....I must say that my research has shown the statement about Pat/Ellen/Katrina to be a farce.

I'm sure we all know there's a lot of info to be found on the web, alot is only opinion, also much is downright false. Research!

Everyone is surely entitled to their opinions but it helps to have the facts behind you.

Thank you for the clarification odiechef. It certainly was a plausible story given past history...but good to check sources before taking it as the truth.

And I want to apologize for my curt comment earlier. It was a hasty reaction to being offended, and I should have paused to think before hitting send. That should teach me for reading and posting on the fly during the morning rush. I am sorry if I offended or hurt anyone.

Yes, that site appears to be very well done satire...to the point of overdoing it occasionally.

There are a few sites that are done quite well. I like The Onion. It's scary when legitimate news organizations pick up some of the stories though...obviously some reporters aren't doing their jobs with checking facts and sources.
