mollies are not technically schooling fish, but i've seen them pine away when not kept with their own kind. and generally, most mollies of different kinds will keep together and breed. they can also live in brackish water and ever salt water, but they can live just fine in fresh. how big a tank do you have, and what other fish are in there?

6 gal,1 betta, 5 ghost shrimp, one baby molly and a juvinile molly,2 inch pleco dont worry hes getting a new tank very soon. ;)

what kind of pleco? is it a common pleco?
yes he is a common, and in about a week he is going to my very responsible friend with a 55 gallon,im going to miss him :sad:but i know its better for him so im going to do it.im going to make sure that she put veggies in with him alot,he loves his cucumbers :) .thanks for asking.

that tank is OS. mollies get to 4" full grown, and that 6g is too small. a pair would need 20gs.

the biggest my friends mollies got where 2 inches, but if they get that big ill find them a new home :(.they are also both girls.
