if it was from eggs, maybe your cae isnt a cae? maybe it was mislabled, or maybe its a similar looking species? just a suggestion since you might have made a mistake identifying the species, not trying to start anything, just a suggestion

those are molly babes, congrats. i am a great, great, great, great grandparent. i havent bought a mollie, sword, or platy in years! p.s. - ure avatar isnt a puffer but a ballon mollie.
