Hello Everyone,

I have been observing my yellow molly for quite some time now and I have realized that she has been harassing my albino pleco. Luckily, my pleco hasn't snapped back at her but I am curious as to why she may be doing this. I wasn't sure if this post should go here or under the bottom dwellers. Thank you for your replies.

If I can't find a resolution to fish picking on other fish I pick the less expensive and put them in another tank or give them back to lfs. I'm guessing the albino plec baby is the more expensive one.

If the molly is not biting fins off then they will be fine. The plec will get bigger and the molly will lose interest.

Plecos require hiding places, as most are largely nocturnal and non-active during the day when other fish are active.

Most fish will readily hurass any fish suffering from an ailment and is lethargic. This can be as a result of stress from transport, acclimating to a new tank, illness or injury, or even their environment (ie. lack of shelter).

Is the pleco new?

Lastly, Mollies are prone to be a bit bullish to smaller fish in the tank, especially if solo IME.

What size tank, and stock please?
