I have read or heard somewhere that mollies like to eat lettuce, but mine don't seem to like it. they are curious, bite it, but immediately spit it out.

i normally feed them flakes and occasionally brine shrimp which they go wild over.

it occured to me maybe they just don't like it as well as the other foods I offer them, so I have tried to feed them lettuce first thing in the morning but still they are uninterested. whats the deal? do they not eat greens? (other then algea, i mean.)

i haven't really heard of mollies liking lettuce but who knows, i have a pair of dalmation mollies and they eat flakes and frozen food just fine, their always picking at the bottom of the tank looking for dropped food. little pigs they are, also they had babies on super bowl sunday and these little guys are already big for fry. they will eat shrimp pellets, flakes, frozen, freeze dried, but never bother the mustard greens or cucumbers i put in there for the pleco, if they don't seem to like it, don't give it to them :)
