More than one Blue Ram in a 20L?

I don't manage to get a good photograph. The ram colors only up when I look, and when I come with the camera, he either hides or shows stress bars. This seems to be a futile effort.

As other sad news, I should have listened to Peanutsweet and removed the tetras. There are only two left, and one of them has a ram mouth sized piece missing out of the anal fin. Good grief.

the main (easy) way to sex a blue ram is as above; the female has a pinky-red belly and the male clearly does not no matter what their other colours do this factor seems to stay the same,in my four foot, well planted, many hiding spot-ified tank my ram seems to only attack tetras too close to her body type, all the short bodied (rummynose etc) and the larger deep bodied (Phantoms, widdows etc) seem to be ok but tetras like diamonds seem to be attacked when they reach the rams size...my ram might be a bit crazy though cos she killed the male that was put in with her(from the same shop) but only after about 5 months? and she also killed a smaller female ram i introduced later thinking she just needed a female friend...she seems quite happy by herself though.

When I got my rams there must have been at least 20 of them in the tank at the shop. This was the the second day that they were in the store. I swear I sat there for over 15 minutes scrutinizing every Ram for a pink/red belly. There was not one! I ended up with 2 males, who love to puff up at each other.
