Mosquito Fish - (Gambusia Affinis) and minnows

I could hook you up with some rosy reds, aka fathead minnows, but you could probably find them in a bait shop or lfs cheaper than shipping. I tossed a bunch into the backyard pond a few years ago to eat mosquito larvae. They spawn every spring/summer, and have survived nearly a month of the pond being completely frozen over. Tough buggers for sure...

lol if you do let me know as for me i would be out there with my little aquarium net;)

I tried that, other than getting laughed at by the neiborhood kids, no luck. I am thinking I may use a piece of plywood to block the ditch and then work my way down with a butterfly net. There are other ways... but I don't have access to that kind of equipment anymore.

Can't you borrow a minnow seine from someone? Or make traps from empty 2 liter soda bottles?
