Which species or family of fish do you think is the most peaceful you have ever seen?

If the fish you would vote for is not here, please write it in.

Zebra danios

I voted cories. But from my experience it wouldn't be platies. They practically knock each other over everytime I feed them.

I would have to say Corydoras without a doubt because they generally stay on the bottom and even if they occationally go to the surface for air, they dont bother the other fish.

...Someone said Danios but dont ask me why because they are known to pick on each other, and other fish which may be slower or less aggressive! :p

Peaceful? ..as in not bothering other fish and their own kind?

Neon Tetras?

I can't vouch for neons... mine spin around and around and around hammering and biting each other.

Usually no harm comes of it... :D

I'll second that. My neons chase each other and nip at each other. I've also seen them nip at my clown pleco's fins.

I'd have to agree that oto's are pretty peaceful. Mine usually can be found resting with each other or hard at work with algae. The only time there is ever a problem is if the oto's start eating my clown pleco's algae wafer. It makes him pretty mad and he'll chase them...kind of funny to watch and it's about the only time I ever see the pleco!:)
