Yea. There not bad, you just need to use "general bearing" grease and a left handed monkey wrench(very expensive) and they'll sieze back up.

Guy, the only time I experienced a bumpy ride on a new bike was when it had nobby tires and I was off-road. As for my 650 Honda V4 street bike, the ride was always smooth as can be expected, accounting for road conditions, speed, etc.
One way to make the mech's understand what you are referring to is for them to take a ride on it themselves. Keep complaining until they get it right... it may turn out there is another problem not related to the tires. You deserve good service, since I'm sure you spent enough money with them ... otherwise, refuse the bike. hmm?

There should be no reason for any tire problems on a new bike from the dealer. That said, I've had my share of problems with my local HD dealer and my Buell that I pretty much had to fix myself or have done elswhere 
I find that service these days has gone totally downhill in many respects.
Back to your tires/balancing, etc. Personally, I would bring it to a tire shop that sells and installs motorcycle tires. We have a local shop here in Lakeland that is excellent. Tires are about the most important part on any bike. I'd spend the money on the good set of name brand tires and have them installed at a shop that will provide a warantee. Even if you don't buy new tires, I'm sure they would be quick to point out a problem that your dealer missed. It's amazing what a set of good tires can do for the ride and handling on a bike!! If the dealer hasn't fixed the problem by now, they probably never will fix it properly.

YUP!! That's like the VMax's I rode!! 
The VMax has the record for the longest production run of any motorcycle in history or some such fact. I must say, they have continued to improve and update it over the years to keep it apealing to the buyers.

I have a buddy with a 85, 1428 piston kit, kiehin 39 mm carbs, hindle pipe and chian drive conversion it will get some. Sounds like a nascar.

They make a drag style frame for them as well. I've seen several like that at our local drag strip. I think at some point, you HAVE to go to a chain drive conversion. That much torque and power going through a drive shaft would probably SLAM you right over one the pavement when you launched!!!
