Moved 20 fish, added 10 fish, now slightly cloudy water?

I just moved about 15 smaller fish from my 90G to my 25L and gave 5 to my O, as a natural perge of life heh...

I added 10 congos, my 25L that I put the 15 smaller fish in, isn't cloudy at all. But my 90 is. I put the congos in 2 days ago. Cleaned filters all fresh stuff except for the bio wheel and kept the foam.

I'm doing a 25% water change now to see if it will help.

Any ideas as to why the 90 would get cloudy rather than both tanks getting cloudy?

I'm thinking that the biological load of the bigger fish that I added is doing it. The congos are about 2.5".

I have the quick dip test strips. Is that accurate enough?

I tested and my water was around 6.2 and the aklinity was low as well. So I added some Kent's Ph Buffer, to balance everything. I'll check back on it in a hr. I have the light off as well.

no more chemicals.. that isnt going to help you one bit. your pH is just fine.

the cloudiness could just be a bacterial bloom in the water column, generally seen in new setups, sometimes in older setups too. they are harmless.

How long does this normally last? Would it be bad for me to run a diatom on the tank to remove the bacteria bloom?

I think I made a foolish mistake. By rinsing the filter media and changing both HOB's at the same time. Also putting the new fish in and trying a twice a day feed. I won't make that mistake again. But how are my perameters?

They look real good. some will say your nitrates are low

Yes I agree you did too much at one time.

I would test for ammonia and nitrites for a while till the tank clears up
