Hey guys- I have a question. I'm moving a 37 inch LCD TV and I need to know if I can lay it down flat. I've been told you can't do that with a plasma TV, but am unsure about an LCD. Thanks in advance!:)

Would you care to define "extended periods"? LOL, we are expecting an 8-10 hour drive.

Well poo... Looks like it's going on the U-Haul then. Wish us luck! LOL

Erm...dont like to be a stickler in the mud here.....but, where does it state that an LCD TV cannot be laid down flat?? Thats horse do do i am afraid...It does not, nor will not hurt them. I have visited an actual factory where these are manufacturered stored, and yes, they are stored at the manufacturer flat, not standing on its end, in pallets...

When transporting, just ensure its properly supported, protected and secure...

If it was a plasma, then yes, i would agree, because of the thin glass....LCD's do not suffer from this...

Thanks Niko! I guess we will try moving it in the car then. Hopefully it will all work out. :)
