To all out there, first of all thanks for intertaining my post. Second of all....I love marine aquaria....strong beleiver in make your own reef :) My Wife and I will be moving to the area of San Diego in September and I am looking at setting up a new reef in the house that we wind up getting, although I would love to diy build a nice acrylic setup...I will only be there for 4 years. I am really interested in a 1/2 acrylic 75G Long (60"x18"x 16") show that is reef ready with stand and canopy. I have shopped around for my 5th aquarium in 18 years, and they just get more costly everytime.....so I am looking for second hand stuff;) all the bells and whistles I don't really need, just a reliable overflow/return setup.
Will be starrting the tank off with aragacrete base rock then working some caribbean live into the setup....1 inch plenum/1 in araga/oocilete sand( thanks to some buddies in Utah :dance ) 3 icecap 175 MH/ 2 54W VHO, and let us not forget about the marvels of LED power:D got a great idea from "Lifelines aquarium" for a dusk/dawn/moonlight LED DIY. :OT: By the way....they seem to have a great product on hand.....wish they would finish their market survey)....and blah blahblah....not to eat up the forum server. but help in the area would be great;) if not....would love to find people in the area with thte same interest....maybe even frag swapping after a year of my tank cycling.
