Holy Criminoly, its a runaway thread!!! :dog: Lassie save us!
I don't know the full story of what happened in the past that made the here and now so screwed up. All I know is that if we all pull together to do what we can to fix it, then we've done all we can do. Our Pastor often says something that really helps me check myself when finger pointing. Anytime you point one finger at somebody else you have three pointed back at yourself. Just point your finger at the screen and you'll see what I mean. When I started this thread I just wanted to know why certain people who seemed like they could do more weren't.(the News Reporters) Quite a few people came up with some quite reasonable answers, but maybe I should have just realized that when other people don't help it's not my place to say anything unless I can change the situation. My church will be helping the situation in every way we know how. I've heard a few of you say the same thing. And I know lots of others are donating time, resources, or whatever they can to other causes. If any of you aren't sure what you can do to help, maybe you could watch the movie "Pay it Forward", that'll give you some ideas.
I don't remember who was talking about the people who live in Florida along the coastline, but I really didn't appreciate that comment. I live in that area, and quite frankly, your thoughts are untrue about the kind of people who live here. "Stars", and rich people etc. are the minority.
