Murky Water

the water isn't green, but I do have alot of brown thread-like algae(?) on the sides of the pond and on the bottom.

I have some kind of pellets that are on the bottom(I bought it at a pond store, it was meant to clear the pond in a organic way, but it didn't), im not sure(its been a while) but I think the pellets were peat.

I have one small koi in the pond, about 3"-4".

the pond has alot of sun.

I dont feed them that much, when I do they eat it all anyway.

I am still going to vote for algae even though you say it is not green. Get a pot of elodea (sp) and drop it in the deep part. I had a similiar problem that I though was releated to filtration. I put the elodea in and in a couple of days the pond was crystal clear.

I will however ask if it is possible any runoff from rain can get into the pond.

well my mom bought some kind of "pond cleaner" and it actually work
after abour 8 hours there were a bunch of clumps floating around(thats what this chemical is sopossed to do) and now the pond is clear...

whoever said it could have been one of the plants being tipped, your right, once it was clear I saw an almost-empty pot and some rotted plant on the bottom :o
