We found out what the problem was with the wet dry filter. Actually, it was the black plexiglass wall of the overflow chamber, where it was connected to the tank. It had bowed out and had pulled away from the glass somewhat. That was where the leak was. We had to remove the fish, break the tank down, and reseal the walls of the overflow- so far so good! Finally!!!! Hopefully no more leaks!! Water levels are now where they should be. Both overflow chambers are working properly with only a couple of inches of water in the bottom. I cannot figure out what caused the overflow wall to pull away like that.:screwy: We had pulled the decorative black plexiglass strip off of the outside of the tank that hides the view of the overflow, and that's when we saw the problem. I am just glad we were able to fix it.

Congrat's !

Thanks! It took long enough to figure this out, we just couldn't figure out what was going on. Nothing added up. Yesterday morning we pryed off the black plexiglass that covers the view of the inside of the overflow, and coldn't believe how that overflow wall had bowed out. Just glad it's done.
