I thought I would move all focus for my 120 over here since it has grown to be more than just a DIY foam background project now. Here is the link to how my background progressed.

Slowly trucking along!

My plan is to move everything from my planted 50 gallon tank into this. I ordered an FX5 which is here. I have 80lbs of eco complete waiting to be dumped into the tank. Not sure if I will use it all though. I also have a black stand coming in the mail that I got for a good deal. Should be here by the 18th or 20th I hope. For lighting I just have a shop light with 2 of the GE plant and aquarium bulbs. We will see how it works out.

Here is what the tank looks like, and what is going on with it for now.

It is kind of hard to tell what is going on in this one but, I have some manzanita wood that is currently soaking in the tank, along with a cascade 1000 running to help keep the water flowing. Stagnant water is never a good thing.

Some spare eggcrate I had. Temporary "top" until I get around to cutting my acrylic pieces to size.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Thank you :) I should have everything up and running before 2011! lol

Looks great! With that size aquarium, why not make the hatchet stock up to 10-15?

Thank you amazon :) I do plan on upping the number of hatchets. To what I'm not sure. I want the tank to have a comfortable amount of fish for each school without looking too crowded.

it's going to look great.

Thank you shewolf :) How is your tank coming along?

looks good and sounds like a plan though hope you have more than one bag of eco-complete lol

Thank you! And yes I have 80 lbs total of eco complete lol, I just didn't want to take pictures of all the bags lol.

Mine is doing great, holding together... I have moved the rosy barbs into it, I think it's been a week now, and thinking about moving the rainbow cichlids to it soon. I need to post an update on the thread, thanks for asking.

Sounds awesome!

Here is a picture of the stand I am going to be getting. When ever this comes in the tank will be moved inside, and the fish to their new home!

I've also been thinking about some cheap media I could use in the FX5 and so far I have decided on pot scrubbers and lava rock. I have a bunch of lava rock laying around and several pot scrubbers I can use. So it's virtually free :)

What fun....I love "build" threads!!!!

Sounds like it will b wonderful!!!! :)
