I have a 5 gallon, the mini-bowl 5 to be exact with wisper filter.

Right now I have two crabs, 1 sucker fish (not even going to try to spell the name), 1 large goldfish (so to go in landscaping pond), 1 small blacktail goldfish, and 2 neon tetras.

Is this an OK setup? I was at www.myfishtank.net and got nothing but attitude so hopefully you guys can help me a bit more.

I would honestly say you have way too much for a 5g tank. Goldfish get fairly big and are real messy as far as fish go. Neons like being in schools of 6 or more, but as small as a 5g tank is they wouldn't have much room to school anyway. Not sure what sort of suckerfish you have so I can't say anything about that. As for crabs, just don't let them have an escape route. They seem good at bailing out of aquariums.

If the "sucker fish" you have is a pleco, you are in for the ride of your life! The common varieties get longer than 1 1/2 feet long and are meant for a 55 gallon tank or larger.

The Goldfish, however short-termed he might be in your tank gets over a foot long as well...these are not small little fish.

The neons, as someone else said like to be in schools of 6+.

The crabs need to get out of the water for short periods of time and will die off if not allowed, plus they are technically slightly brackish, no matter what the fish store told you. Of course the crabs will probably kill each other or the fish in a short period of time. They are really good at that.

Sorry to be negative but the amount and selection of fish really isn't a good idea for a tiny tank. Perhaps just a small group of 5 neons would be the best thing for it.

more fish than tank can safely house. But if you can put the goldfish into the pond that will help emensely. How big is your "sucker" fish? He may work for a while kinda like the family that changes houses as they outgrow the previous one.

You may want to look at getting a larger tank, or multiple tanks.

Tanks are like potato chips can not have just one.
