My Betta died... : ( Why?

I do water changes once a week. I'll definitely have to get a gravel vacuum then.

I hadn't thought of getting a new tank, but I might in the future. If I do, I guess I'd probably just go to the 5 gallon, if that's the best size.

Your betta would love a 5 gal, and could even have some tank mates. You are using a dechlorinator, correct?

Any fish that don't have long display fins. (Guppies, Gouramis, Angelfish)

And of course, fin nippers. (Tiger barbs and such)

i've had significant luck with corys and ottos. each betta is different though. keep an eye on hime when introducing new fish.

The shrimp may get eaten depending on the aggressiveness of the betta. My sister's betta ripped apart 3 shrimp in the first day we introduced them.
