My black kuhlis are jerks!

My black kuhlis are jerks! They like swimming in circles around their tank but they often aim for the other fish. They'll actually shift their swimming circle so they'll barrel right into one of the other fish. Their favorite is ramming into one of my otos. Does anyone else's do this?? My striped kuhli swims in circles but doesn't aim for the other fish. Only the black ones do it.
 
I want some of the nasty black kuhlis. I have a feeling they're one of the two or more species covered under "black kuhli loach", as mine are pretty docile.
 
No but my my striped ones come out to glare & me & dare me to reach into their plants. I think it's because I've almost grabbed a tail several times picking out floating debris.

I had a pair of black kuhlis that would terrorize my 6 albino cories. They would sneak up on them, wack them in the head, then run away and hide. this went on for hours, until finally the cories chased the kuhlis around for a minute or two. THen there would be peace for an hour or so, and it would continue, they were in my 75, so its not like they were competeing for space.

Lol. We'd have really evil black kuhlis if I ever bred mine to yours Mike.
 
Hmm never heard of kuhlis moshing before. Next thing you know they'll all have little leafy mohawks.
 
Yea, I think the kuhlis I had were a pair, and they claimed their whole tank as their turf. I felt bad for the albinos, so i sold the kuhlis to a friend who has a group of about 12 of them. Whats really hilarious, is that my kuhlis passed on their moshing behavior to his. So now no other bottom feeders can be put in there haha. Evil little things! I want to get a few more of them for my next tank!
